major road construction on I 490 in both directions from I 390 to Exit 15 Rochester Inner Loop Highway until 3:00 PM, 11 13 09Comment: Motorists using I490 can expect delays beginning Saturday 3 14 09 as construction resumes for the Western Gateway Project. Traffic changes will begin Saturday 3 14 on the WB lanes beginning at the Inner Loop Ramp. WB traffic will be reduced to a single lane once again between the Inner Loop Ramps begind Frontier Field and will remain that way until late summer. WB Traffic from Grape Str. to the 390 interchange will be shifted to the far right lane and shoulder also beginning Saturday 3 14. All WB ramps will remain open with the exception of the Ames Str. on ramp which will close Saturday 3 14. A detour will be posted to Mt. Read Blvd. Beginning Tuesday night 3 17, the 390SB to 490 EB Ramp will again be reduced to a single lane in preparation for the switching of the EB traffic onto the current WB side of the expressway.
