Entrance to Greece DMV

Rochester -- Monroe County Clerk Cheryl Dinolfo and Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks today opened the new Greece Department of Motor Vehicles Auto License Bureau at the Mall at Greece Ridge. The new facility is easier for customers to access and provides an important boost to one of our community's most prominent retail centers. Dinolfo and Brooks were joined at the event by Town of Greece Supervisor Jack Auberger and representatives for State Senator Joe Robach and Assemblyman Bill Reilich.

"Our new Greece DMV provides the best of both worlds – more convenience for customers as well as a boost to a vital retail center that is important to our local economy, all while keeping costs stable for taxpayers," said Dinolfo.

The new Greece DMV is located in the eastern portion of the Mall at Greece Ridge, near Circuit City and Bed, Bath and Beyond. The lease for the location is for 10 years with one 5-year renewal option. In addition, the operational costs for the new location are comparable with the office's prior location at Ridgecrest Commons. Over 100,000 customers make use of the current Greece DMV Office annually.

“This is a great move for our taxpayers and local economy, and I applaud County Clerk Dinolfo for her efforts,” Brooks said. “The new Greece Ridge DMV office is an important part of the County Clerk’s efforts to promote the ‘Renew Monroe’ initiative – thus keeping our hard-earned tax dollars working at home, while providing professional service in a more convenient location.”

"This opening is another boost to Greece's economy and the future of the Mall," said Greece Supervisor Jack Auberger. "I want to congratulate County Clerk Dinolfo for her vision in returning the DMV to the Mall."

"Having the DMV relocate here reinforces that The Mall at Greece Ridge provides more ways to shop. Our guests will be able to do their shopping, take care of their DMV business, grab some lunch, take in a movie and work out all in one place," said Jim Hofford, General Manager for the Mall at Greece Ridge.
