Brooks Welcomes DDS Companies to Monroe County

Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks joined Sean Donohoe, President and Owner of The DDS Companies, for a ribbon cutting ceremony for their new Center of Operations in Monroe County. The company invested $2 million to renovate and equip the 22,000 square foot facility at 240 Commerce Drive in Henrietta. The company employs 145 in Monroe County.
“We are thrilled to welcome The DDS Companies and these new jobs to Monroe County,” said Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks. “I thank President Sean Donohoe and his team for investing in our community and recognizing Monroe County as a great place to grow their business.”
“Our commitment to progress is strong. We expected to increase our head count by 12, and have actually added 27 new positions since we relocated. We anticipate the creation of more jobs as our business continues to develop,” said Sean Donohoe, President. “Having our companies centralized in Monroe County has already afforded us many opportunities to foster partnerships as we look forward to further success.”
The DDS Companies include DDS Engineers, LLP, a full service civil engineering firm that specializes in civil site design; DDS Constructors, LLC, providing site construction and land development services to commercial and residential developers; and Rochester Utility Contractors, performing gas, electric and telecommunications construction throughout the region.
The company’s operations were formerly split between three locations in three counties: construction operations were in Victor, utility operations in Bergen, and engineering operations in Henrietta. Their new Center of Operations consolidates all divisions of the company under one roof.
Monroe County provided assistance for the project through COMIDA and the SBA 504 loan program, as well as the GreatRate program for equipment purchases.
