Brooks and Rochester Home Builders' Association Open New Headquarters

Brooks and Rochester Home Builders' Association Open New Headquarters
Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks joined the Rochester Home Builders’ Association (RHBA) to open their new 9,000 square foot headquarters and education and training facility at 20 Wildbriar Road in the Town of Henrietta. The building also houses Steuben Trust, a new business to Monroe County, and Countrywide Home Loans.

The Rochester Home Builders’ Association plays an integral role in strengthening our local economy through new home construction and homeownership,” said Brooks. “Home construction is an economic engine, creating jobs, generating new investment, and enhancing the quality of life in our community. This new facility enables RHBA to expand education and training for their members and the community at-large. Monroe County is pleased to have been a partner in this project. We thank RHBA and its members for their ongoing commitment to building a stronger community.”

The Rochester Home Builders’ Association has made an investment in our community that will benefit future generations,” said Michael Spaan, President, Rochester Home Builders’ Association and President, Atlas Builders. “We hope that our members and the public will take advantage of the resources that are available to them and see that a new home can be part of their American Dream.”

In 2006, 1,000 new homes were built in Monroe County. The construction of these homes created 2,800 jobs and resulted in an economic impact of $200 million.

RHBA invested $1.2 million in the expansion and created two new jobs. Monroe County offered assistance through the County of Monroe Industrial Development Agency (COMIDA).

Founded in 1934, RHBA is a trade organization uniting all segments of the residential building industry in a six-county area. Affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the New York State Builders Association (NYSBA), RHBA interacts with governments and communities to enhance the business climate for its members by providing education and training, encouraging the use of member products and services, and promoting homeownership.
