County Executive Brooks creates Monroe County's RCAMP profile

Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks today announced the Rochester-Monroe County Youth Bureau is among the partnership of agencies participating in the Rochester Community Asset Mapping Project (RCAMP). Asset Mapping enhances and increases connections between people and organizations so that they each best benefit from each other’s services.
“Monroe County’s involvement in initiatives like RCAMP is a prime example of how we continue to provide high quality services to our residents,” said Brooks. “By utilizing Asset Mapping, we will be able to better serve our residents by providing top notch services to them at no cost.”
RCAMP is an internet-based application that is designed to better assist community members by collecting and sharing assets for both organizations and residents. The goal is to provide state-of-the-art, one-stop access to information about self-improving and community building tools; which in turn are used to enhance outreach efforts to local youths and adults.
Organizations in the fields of education, employment and personal interests are among the featured agencies participating in the program. Monroe County Mental Health and ACCESS are also among the groups involved in the RCAMP Demo Fair. ACCESS is one of the organizations able to help disadvantaged residents connect with better resources for disability care, mental health, prevention and several other areas.
Local organizations looking to better serve the community are encouraged to create a free profile at www.rcamp.net. The County’s involvement in RCAMP comes at no cost to local property taxpayers. RCAMP’s other partnering agencies include: the City of Rochester, Community Place of Greater Rochester, SouthWest Area Neighborhood, W.I.N. and Rochester Surround Care Community Corp.
