Brooks Announces Post Central is Business of the Month

Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks announced that Post Central, a Creative Communications Company, has been named Monroe County’s “Business of the Month.”
“Monroe County has a rich history within the film and video industry and Post Central is certainly carrying on this proud tradition in our community,” said Monroe County Executive Brooks. “I would like to thank Post Central for the unique role they play in our local economy and their commitment to offering highly-skilled jobs for residents.”
Post Central was founded in Rochester in 1992 by CEO William Lang, and President Gary Knaak. Post Central began by providing high-end post-production services and eventually expanded into producing feature films, TV programming, corporate/marketing communication initiatives, advertising, promotions and documentaries. In 2005, Post Central formed an independent movie studio, Post Production Entertainment, and produced their first feature film titled Cherry Crush. The movie was released nationally and picked up for distribution in over 18 countries.
“While our clients have access to the highest-quality production equipment made available, I believe our success is driven by Post Central’s extremely talented and dedicated workforce,” said Gary Knaak, President, Post Central. “I take great pride in the work that we do and would like to thank Monroe County for their support and the opportunities they have afforded us.”
Post Central is located in Penfield and employs 18 people in Monroe County. The company received incentives through the Monroe County Industrial Development Corporation’s GreatRate program.
