Dinolfo Keeps Travel Advisory For Monroe County In Effect Until 5 A.M. Wednesday Morning

Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo urged Monroe County residents to continue to avoid unnecessary travel through tonight. The travel advisory will expire at 5 a.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2016.

"To permit the plows to continue their work, residents should avoid all unnecessary travel through tonight,” said Dinolfo. “Today’s response by the state, towns and city plow operators, as well as all levels of government, demonstrated a spirit of cooperation. I’d like to thank the many residents and Good Samaritans who extended a helping hand, in large and small ways, from shoveling out driveways to checking on neighbors.”

Personnel from the County’s Office of Emergency Management is continuing to monitor road conditions through the evening while coordinating the County’s response to the weather event.
