Dinolfo Encourages Job Seekers To Register For Monroe County’s Largest Job Fair

County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo encourages job seekers to attend the 9th Annual Greater Rochester Career Conference & Job Fair on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Monroe Community College. Job seekers are encouraged to pre-register online at careerconference2017.eventbrite.com. Pre-registration is encouraged but is not required. The event is free and open to the public. 

Monroe County sponsors the Career Conference & Job Fair which is the region’s largest, featuring 68 local businesses and averaging nearly 1,000 job seekers each year. Those interested can visit www.rochesterworks.org/careerconference.aspx for an up-to-date list of companies and job openings. Some of the companies registered include the University of Rochester, Hammer Packing and LiDestri Food & Drink.   

The event also features resume workshops, one-on-one assistance with applications and informative panels. Job seekers are encouraged to dress for an interview and bring extra copies of their resume.

Monroe County has designated RochesterWorks! as the one-stop provider to administer workforce development programs on its behalf. The County’s Planning and Development Department’s Workforce Development Division provides program and fiscal oversight of RochesterWorks! and partners with business and other community organizations to develop the local workforce.
