Dinolfo Announces Record Attendance At The Zoo

County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo announced record February break attendance. Between February 18 and February 25, a total of 21,624 guests were able to experience the wonderful sights and have the opportunity to learn about our zoo’s residents and the ongoing conservation efforts of the Seneca Park Zoo.

“We are excited to see the incredible number of people who visited the zoo this past week to have a great time and learn more about the amazing animals we have right here at Monroe County’s Seneca Park Zoo,” said County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo. “A combination of spring-like weather and our Free Youth February promotion made this week a great one to be at the zoo!”

This spring the Seneca Park Zoo will kick-off a series of major improvements to expand the number and quality of exhibits within the current footprint of the property. Once construction is complete on the new enclosures and exhibits, giraffes and red pandas will be among the new residents of the zoo and guests will be able to use a new trolley to move around the zoo.
