Fulfilling a pledge to local residents, to help them save money when purchasing often costly prescription drugs, County Executive Maggie Brooks created the Monroe County Prescription Discount Plan.
Monroe County has joined The RxChoice Drugstore Savings Club, a prescription drug discount card with 2 million members nationwide. Through this partnership, RxChoice will provide their service FREE to all Monroe County Residents.
FREE Monroe County-RxChoice Cards are available to all residents regardless of income level. Medicare eligibility is not required. The only requirement is that the applicant reside in Monroe County, New York. See related documents below to download the brochure and enrollment form.
The Monroe County-RxChoice Card is accepted by most major retail pharmacies, including Wegmans, Tops, CVS, Eckerd, Kmart, Rite Aid, Target and Wal-Mart.
The Monroe County-RxChoice Card covers all brand name and generic drugs—saving residents an average of 15% on brand name and 44% on generics.
