Badging Requirements

Individuals who require unescorted access to the Air Operations Area (AOA), Restricted, Secured or Sterile Areas must possess an Airport issued photo ID card. Card issuance is limited to those individuals who have cleared the FBI-based criminal history check as well as the TSA-based Security Threat Assessment (STA) and have a frequent and reoccurring need for access. In addition, all card applicants must provide documentation that establishes identity and employment eligibility.

The first step to the identification process is to make arrangments to be fingerprinted.

Contact the Airport Communications office at (585) 753-7001 to make an appointment.

Do not arrange to be fingerprinted until instructed to do so by your employer.

On your initial appointment you will be required to provide two (2) forms of identification, as outlined HERE, as well as a completed Identification Application and Certification of Background form properly filled out and signed by both you and your airport employer.

Please pay close attention to the requirements for identification. You will need one form of I.D. from list A, or one form from each list B and C.

The most common acceptable identification is a U.S. Passport, or a drivers liscense combined with a Social Security card. Identification requirements must be met, and expired I.D. cannot be accepted.
