Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks announced that residents can once again recycle their Christmas trees, free of charge, at a number of locations across Monroe County.   A list of drop-off locations, instructions, and hours of operation is attached, and can also be found at www.monroecounty.gov.

 

Christmas trees received at these locations will be ground into wood chips for use as landscape mulch. Certain drop-off locations also offer these wood chips to residents for use in their own gardens.  Residents residing in these participating municipalities will be required to bring their own containers to retrieve these wood chips.
