These learning sessions are part of the High/Scope Youth Work Method series, a set of 10 workshops designed to empower youth workers with strategies for working with young people. They are also part of the Ready by 21TM Quality Counts initiative, a comprehensive improvement system for youth work organizations and communities. This series is a new offering to the community and is a companion to the Advancing Youth Development (AYD) and Youth Development Group Work series offered through the Capacity Building Project. Ideally, participants will have taken the AYD series prior to the Youth Work Methods series. The Youth Work Methods series also corresponds directly to the Youth Program Quality Assessment (YPQA) observation process that some organizations in the community are participating in with their afterschool programs. Each workshop directly relates to program items in the subscales of the observation tool and can be helpful in strengthening/enhancing staff skills in the subscale areas.

There is a $10 fee for the required workbook that each participant receives and uses during the session. All checks must be made out to: CCSI/ Capacity Building Project (WB). A purchase order can be accepted if necessary.
