2008 State of the County PodCast
On Tuesday, April 22nd, County Executive Maggie Brooks delivered her State of the County Address at the RIT Center for Integrated Manufacturing Studies. Brooks highlighted the County’s accomplishments in 2007, as well as its new initiatives for 2008. She discussed successful public safety programs such as Project Impact, and described “Next Generation 911,” which will allow residents to receive reverse calls from 911 on their mobile phones. Brooks announced $10 million in state funding for the construction of a state-of-the-art crime lab in Monroe County, and provided an update on two innovative human services programs, Project SAVE and the Nurse-Family Partnership.
