Recycling of plastic containers #1 and #2 is required by law (accepted curbside). The Monroe County Recycling Center also accepts from haulers certain plastic items #s 3-7 (and additional non-container #s 1-2) for recycling/energy recovery. All plastic items should be rinsed clean with lids and caps removed.
