Hazardous Material Incidents

• Respond to and investigate reports of petroleum, chemical, biological and radiological incidents.
• Assist local fire departments throughout the County, as well as the Rochester Fire Department and Monroe County Hazardous Material Response Teams.
• Conduct environmental hazard assessments and provide guidance on containment, initial clean up and remediation activities.
• Assess potential exposures and address health concerns. Interact with Health Department Administration, hospital emergency departments, Finger Lakes Poison Control Center, and Finger Lakes Occupational Health Services.
