The Environmental Health Division’s mission is to provide public health services and leadership to assure the improves health status of individuals, families, the environment and the community.
Environmental Health strives to achieve excellence in the division’s performance to advance Monroe County as a leader in the field of public health. We collaborate with community partners to achieve optimum health status in the community and interact proactively with the changing health care environment to assure that public health issues are recognized and addressed. The Environmental Health Division provides information, education, inspection of facilities, as well as emergency response to incidents that threaten public health and the environment.
