Additionally, East House oversees Affinity Place Respite and Warm-Line Service, which can be used as an alternative to going to the emergency room for mental health challenges. Affinity Place provides support for people experiencing mental health challenges in their 8-bed respite program, staffed by people with who have been successful in the recovery process and who are certified to help others experiencing similar situations (also known as "peers" or "Peer Support Specialists"). The Warm-Line at (585) 563-7470 is available 24/7 and is also staffed by Peer Support Specialists who understand that at times, it can be easier to talk with individuals who have had similar experiences.
