Work is performed under supervision, with moderate exercise of independent judgment, but in accordance with outlined objectives, policies and procedures. Work may involve the use of an automated or manual accounting system. Supervision may be exercised over a small number of clerical employees.

This is an entry level cooking position involving responsibility for assisting in the preparation of hot and cold food items to serve students, faculty, patients, and patrons in a school or institutional cafeteria or in hospital rooms. Employees work closely with the Cook in preparing the main entree and operate those pieces of kitchen equipment requiring careful attention to safety practices and precautions. When assigned to an educational facility, the Assistant Cook may work under direct supervision of a Cook in an elementary school, under a Cook Manager in a junior or senior high school, or be in charge in a satellite operation serving pre-cooked food that requires portioning and heating. When assigned to an institutional setting, the Assistant Cook works under direct supervision of a Cook, Supervising Cook, or Dietitian. The Assistant Cook assumes the duties and responsibilities of the Cook during absences. The Assistant Cook may assign tasks to food service employees. Does related work as required.

This is a professional engineering position in the Department of Transportation Highway Engineering Division responsible for a particular civil engineering function, program or project. Work may involve areas of traffic engineering, highway or bridge design and construction, water or sewage systems design, construction or treatment, environmental engineering, or other civil engineering fields. The employee reports to and works under the general supervision of a senior-level engineering staff member. Supervision is exercised over a technical staff.

This position is responsible for giving direct and indirect care to convalescent or chronically ill patients and for assisting with the care of seriously ill patients. Employees give bedside care to patients, administer approved medication and assist in giving medical treatment. Licensed Practical Nurses will be required to successfully complete a medication examination prior to permanent appointment. The employee reports directly to and works under the general supervision from a Registered Professional Nurse. Supervision may be exercised over subordinate staff. Full time and per diem positions available.

This is a professional supervisory nursing position responsible for supervising, developing, motivating and evaluating nursing personnel, and for assisting in planning and coordinating the twenty four (24) hour functioning of assigned units of nursing. Employees work only evening and/or night-shifts and also assume administrative responsibility for the hospital on an assigned shift basis, communicating with an appropriate "on call" administrator as necessary. The employee reports directly to and works under the general supervision of the Assistant Director of Nursing or other senior-level nursing administrator. Leeway is allowed for the exercise of independent judgment and decision making in determining patient/resident needs and solutions to clinical care problems. General supervision is exercised over a professional and paraprofessional nursing staff. Does related work as required.

This is a professional nursing position involving responsibility for providing bedside and clinical care to convalescent, chronically ill, and seriously ill patients in the Monroe Community Hospital. General supervision is received from a senior level nursing staff member. Direct supervision may be exercised over Licensed Practical Nurses and Nursing Assistants.
