Monroe County’s Department of Information Services provides technology solutions, strategies and support to meet the needs of both internal County departments and external customers such as towns, villages, the city, law enforcement agencies and citizens. This includes providing both project management and break/fix support for all county computer, server, network, telephone, Internet and business systems.

Location
The Information Services Department is located on the 6th floor of Monroe County City Place Building (50 W. Main St.) in Downtown Rochester on the corner of West Main and Fitzhugh Streets. You can get to Fitzhugh Street by taking the Plymouth Avenue exits from I-490.

From Buffalo traveling East:
- Take the Plymouth/Downtown Exit.
- Turn right on Plymouth and go to the second traffic light which is W. Main Street.
- Turn left on West Main and the next light is Fitzhugh Street.
From Syracuse traveling West:
- Take the Plymouth/Broad Street Exit onto South Washington Street.
- Proceed North on South Washington to West Main Street
- Turn Right on West Main and the next traffic light is Plymouth Avenue.
- Proceed straight to your next light which is Fitzhugh Street.
Downtown parking is available at several locations near City Place, the closest being Sister Cities Garage, just South of Main Street across from City Place Building.

Customer Services Division
Customer Services provides:
- information technology solutions,
- consulting services, and
- project management for other departments.
Staff assist in locating solutions to satisfy business requirements and maintain the existing base of countywide information systems used throughout the county.
There is an IS Customer Services Representative assigned to each department and/or division that is responsible for providing these services. Any new requests or questions about service should be directed to your IS Customer Support Representative.

Technical Services Division
Technical Services investigates new technology and developments in existing technology in order to develop standards for county hardware, software, and connectivity. They manage and operate the mainframe computer and smaller computers of various client locations throughout the county.
Technical Services staff members:
- install new equipment,
- troubleshoot problems with existing equipment,
- provide Help Desk support for county computer users, and
- provide management of telephone services.
Additionally they confer with Customer Services staff to determine technical solutions to customer requirements.
