Brooks Convenes Bi-Partisan Budget Workshop

Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks convened a first-of-its-kind Bi-Partisan Budget Workshop on Saturday, February 4th. Brooks invited all Monroe County Legislators, both Republican and Democrats, to join her at this first-ever meeting.

Six Chosen As Bucks for the Baby “Spokeskids”

Brooks Reports Year End Economic Development Numbers for 2005

January 19, 2006

According to Brooks, in 2005, County-sponsored programs approved incentives for 138 local economic development projects. These projects will create 4,073 new jobs (within five years of project completion), retain 13,637 jobs, and invest $515,180,000 in Monroe County.

Christmas Tree Recycling Programs 2005-2006

Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks announced that Christmas tree recycling programs are available across Monroe County at no charge to residents. Residents are encouraged to recycle their Christmas trees instead of disposing of them in local landfills.
