Late Payment Fees
In the event the payment of any fee is not made within 30 days of the invoice date, the following late payment fee schedule will apply and be added to the original fee due.
- Payment within 30 days on invoice date: No additional fee is due.
- Payment within 31 to 60 days of invoice date: 1.5% of original fee is added.
- Payment within 61 to 90 days of invoice date: 3.0% of original fee is added.
- Payment after 90 days of invoice date: 3.0% of original fee plus 1.5% per month or part thereof for any time after 90 days.
Security Deposit Policy
Security deposits are required for various construction activities on County highways. The following is a list of those activities and the associated security desposit amounts.
- Driveway Installations: $200 deposit
- Piping Roadside Ditches: $200 deposit
- Commercial Entrances: $1,000 deposit
- Subdivision Entrances: $1,000 deposit
- Removing Curbs or Gutters for Access: $2,000 deposit
- Bores: $3,000 deposit
- Open Cuts (Shoulder): $2,000 deposit
- Open Cuts (One Lane): $2,000 deposit
- Open Cuts (Two Lanes): $3,000 deposit
- Open Cuts (Three Lanes): $4,000 deposit
- Open Cuts (Four Lanes): $5,000 deposit
- Open Cuts (More than Four Lanes): $5,000 + $1,000 additional per lane deposit
- Open Cuts (Parallel Cuts Per Foot): $100 deposit
- Signal Permits: $5,000 deposit
- By-Pass Lane, Full Depth Shoulder: $2,000 deposit
- Turn Lane: $2,0000 deposit
- Right-of-Way Restoration in Lawn Area: $2,000 deposit
- Miscellaneous activities will be charged a security deposit based on an individual basis.
Forms of Payment
The following forms of payment are accepted for security deposits.

- VISA or MasterCard
Utility companies and municipalities are excluded from providing security deposits.
The security deposit will not be released until all County, Town and/or Village requirements are met. Security deposits will be held for a minimum of 30 days and up to a maximum of one year after the work is completed to the County's satisfaction as a guarantee of the work performed in the County right-of-way.
