Youth Referral Counselors

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office provides an experienced and professional Youth Referral Counselor.

The counselor works closely with area schools, community groups and youth serving agencies. They provide short term counseling and referral services to families of area youth. In addition, the counselor acts as a resource for youth related concerns and as a liasion to Family Court on juvenile delinquency (JD) and persons in need of supervision (PINS) procedures. The Youth Referral Counselor is also available to area schools and groups for presentations on juvenile related topics.

Working with uniformed officers and investigators, the counselor wil review reports and offer assistance, when appropriate, to youths and their families who have come in contact with the MCSO.
