Dinolfo To Host American Red Cross Blood Drive On Tuesday, July 16

Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo will be sponsoring an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Tuesday, July 16th in the County Office Building Atrium, located at 39 West Main Street in Downtown Rochester. The drive will run from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

“Blood supplies at the American Red Cross are dangerously low and currently there is an emergency need for all blood types,” said Dinolfo. “The Red Cross is always there for our community in times of need and now it’s our turn to return the favor by signing up to make a donation at Monroe County’s next blood drive on Tuesday, July 16th.”

The American Red Cross is experiencing an emergency need for all blood types, and is encouraging blood and platelet donors to give as soon as possible. Dinolfo hopes those within our community who are eligible will consider donating.

This event is open to the public and donors are encouraged to make an appointment by contacting Lillian Gucciardo at (585)753-1000. Walk-ins will also be accepted throughout the day. Those wishing to donate can save time by using RapidPass to complete the pre-donation reading and health history questionnaire online, on the day of donation, prior to arriving at the blood drive. If you wish to do this, visit

Anyone who is able to make a donation is encouraged to take this opportunity to donate to help prevent a blood shortage. Donors are reminded to bring a valid photo ID in order to donate. If you have previously donated blood, it must have been on or before May 21, 2019 to be eligible for this drive.
