Data Management Programmer

Description of Duties

Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements on or before the date of the written exam:

Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus EITHER:

1. Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in a computer science, information technology, management information system or other computer field, plus four (4) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent* experience (paid cooperative education [co-op] experience is acceptable) in computer programming for database analysis, development and support; OR,

2. Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate’s degree in one of the fields mentioned in (A) above, plus six (6) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent* experience (paid cooperative education [co-op] experience is acceptable) as defined in (A) above; OR,

3. Eight (8) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent* experience (paid cooperative education [co-op] experience is acceptable) as defined in (A) above; OR,

4. An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A), (B) and (C) above.
