Dinolfo, Kress to Host "Inspire Monroe", a New Targeted Career Exploration Fair

Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo and Monroe Community College (MCC) President Dr. Anne M. Kress announced Monroe County and MCC will be co-hosting Inspire Monroe, a new interactive career exploration fair available to high school students and unemployed or underemployed adults. The event is targeted to showcase career options in three in-demand industries, advanced manufacturing, health care, and information technology, and will be held on Saturday, March 24th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Hyatt Regency Rochester. Inspire Monroe is a free and open to the public event.

Dinolfo: County to Receive Lake Ontario Shoreline Restoration Funds

County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo announced that Monroe County will receive $1.5 million in grant funding from the New York State Office of Community Renewal, through its 2017 Imminent Threat Program, which will be allocated to support several County infrastructure restoration and mitigation projects along the shore of Lake Ontario.

Dinolfo Reminds Residents of Upcoming Opioid Outreach Seminars at Local Schools

Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo is reminding parents and students in the Webster, Churchville Chili, and Hilton School Districts about the opportunity to attend informational seminars on opioid addiction this week. The expanded and enhanced seminars are part of Dinolfo’s Monroe County Opioid Action Plan, combatting the nationwide heroin and opioid crisis in our area.

Dinolfo Earns the “A” – Moody’s Upgrades County Credit Rating to A3 Status

Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo today announced that the bond rating agency, Moody’s Investors Service, improved Monroe County’s credit rating and affirmed the county’s positive fiscal outlook. The County will benefit from this improved rating by securing lower interest rates for future borrowing, ultimately saving taxpayer dollars.

Dinolfo Announces Projects Approved by Imagine Monroe

Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo announced that Imagine Monroe approved assistance for several local economic development projects. These projects are anticipated to create and retain a total of 166 full-time jobs in Monroe County.

Dinolfo Rochester Community Join Together to “Shine a Light on Douglass” on Bicentennial Birthday

It was a perfect Valentine’s Day evening at Highland Bowl to show some love to Frederick Douglass on the bicentennial of his chosen birthday, February 14. County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo was joined by approximately 400 people from throughout the community to “Shine a Light on Douglass” and create a once-in-200-year set of archival photos of the beloved 1899 Frederick Douglass monument.


The Monroe County Legislature tonight approved three major agreements recently reached under the leadership of Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo.

In a unanimous, bipartisan vote, the Legislature authorized Dinolfo’s new long-term lease agreement between Monroe County and Rochester Community Baseball, Inc. for the use of Frontier Field. The Legislature also approved Dinolfo’s new collective bargaining agreements with the Deputy Sheriff’s Association and Airport Firefighters Association.

Play Ball: Dinolfo, Silver Announce New Long Term Lease For Frontier Field

Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo and Rochester Red Wings President/CEO/COO Naomi Silver announced that Monroe County and Rochester Community Baseball, Inc. have agreed upon a new long-term lease for the use of Frontier Field. The lease term is ten years, from 2018 to 2028, and includes a mutual option for another ten-year renewal thereafter. The agreement has been signed by Silver and will be officially executed by Dinolfo pending final authorization of the Monroe County Legislature.

Dinolfo to Host American Red Cross Blood Drive on Valentine’s Day

Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo will be sponsoring an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Wednesday, February 14th in the County Office Building Atrium, located at 39 West Main Street in Downtown Rochester. The drive will run from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
