Dinolfo: New Affordable Child Care Option Available for Job Training Participants

County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo announced that Monroe County will expand its subsidized child care program with support from new funding through New York State’s Upstate Revitalization Initiative (URI). The URI’s Child Care Subsidy Program will provide child care reimbursements to participants enrolled in a pre-approved job training program.

Dinolfo: Drivers Should Exercise Caution During the Evening Commute, Overnight

With the National Weather Service anticipating a significant drop in temperatures and the potential flash-freezing on local roads over the course of the next few hours, Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo is asking drivers to exercise caution during the evening commute. Dinolfo also encouraged residents to use discretion when travelling during the late evening and overnight hours, as high rates of snowfall are likely impact road conditions through Saturday morning.

Dinolfo Calls on President Trump to Sign Federal Opioid Legislation

Dinolfo Urges Residents to Stay Safe and Warm as Extreme Cold, Lake Effect Snow Arrives

Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo is urging residents to prepare for the extreme winter weather soon expected to impact our area. Forecasts indicate wind chills will likely fall to 20 to 30 degrees below zero, along with heavy bands of lake effect snow. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Monroe County in effect through Saturday and a Wind Chill Warning for Monroe County in effect from 8:00 p.m. today until Sunday.

Dinolfo: Monroe County has Joined Nationwide Lawsuits Against Opioid Makers

County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo announced that Monroe County has joined nationwide lawsuits against pharmaceutical companies that make, market, and distribute opioid prescription drugs. Through the action, the County will seek to recoup on behalf of local taxpayers various costs it has incurred as a result of the opioid epidemic. The County has retained the counsel of Simmons Hanly Conroy, a national law firm with extensive experience in large-scale, multi-defendant opioid litigation.

Dinolfo Appoints Jennifer Cesario as Monroe County Controller

County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo announced the appointment of Jennifer Cesario as Monroe County Controller. Cesario formerly served the as Director of Administrative Services in the Monroe County Department of Human Services.
