Continuing Monroe County’s second-annual Budget Week, County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo today presented highlights of Monroe County’s 2020 investments in services for local children and families during Stronger Families Day. The event was hosted at Caring and Sharing Childcare on Webster Avenue in the City of Rochester, a daycare provider that works with Monroe County to ensure access to affordable, quality childcare.

More Jobs Day: Dinolfo Previews Investments in Economic, Workforce Development for 2020

To kick-off Monroe County’s second-annual Budget Week, Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo presented highlights of Monroe County’s 2020 investments in economic and workforce development during More Jobs Day. The event was hosted at Jobs on Main, the County’s new economic development headquarters at 50 W. Main Street in Rochester.

Dinolfo Breaks Ground on Highway Lighting Rehab Project

County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo broke ground on the highly-anticipated multi-year $24 million highway lighting rehabilitation project, which will transform the highway lighting infrastructure throughout Monroe County. The project will replace the current network of highway lighting with highly-resilient, consistent, uniform, and energy efficient lighting infrastructure that reduces annual energy costs and will reduce the potential for lighting outages.

Dinolfo Launches MatchUP Monroe – A New, Immersive Internship Program for Local Students

County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo was joined by local business leaders, college and university representatives, and local stakeholders to launch MatchUP Monroe, a new County initiative aimed at retaining local college students after graduation. This first-of-its-kind immersive internship initiative, which has been in development since early 2019, will offer paid positions, free transportation and housing, and even local cultural experiences to show off all that Monroe County has to offer. Students and employers who are interested in participating in the program can learn more at MatchUPMonroe.org.
