County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo announced Monroe County will bring a Recruiting on the Road Job Fair to Northwest Rochester on Tuesday, August 13th, 2019 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. This Recruiting on the Road job fair will feature over 15 businesses looking to hire individuals in competitive fields for more than 250 positions.

Dinolfo Invites Working Families To Apply For County's Affordable Childcare Programming

County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo invited local families to apply for the County’s affordable childcare programming. Monroe County’s federal-state grant allocation for affordable childcare is increasing by $3.1 million for 2019-20, providing new opportunities for families to benefit from programs that can offset the cost of care for income-eligible households. The announcement follows Dinolfo’s previous action to lower the affordable childcare “Parent Fee” in Monroe County, which will save the average low-income family nearly $800 annually on the cost of care.

County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo announced Monroe County will partner with LiDestri Food and Drink and RochesterWorks! for a two day Recruiting on the Road Job Fair and Hiring Event on Thursday, August 8, 2019 from 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. This special event features over three dozen available positons available through LiDestri. Representatives will be on-hand to screen, interview and give job offers to candidates for select positions.

Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo introduced a Local Law to the Monroe County Legislature to regulate the safety and security of grease trap covers in Monroe County. Prior to the introduction of the new legislation, no clear standard existed in New York State for the ongoing inspection and enforcement of grease trap manhole covers.

For the first six months of 2019, Imagine Monroe has approved 24 projects that will result in the creation of 608 jobs and retention of 986 jobs in Monroe County. These projects will generate a total of $239 million in private investment.

Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo, in partnership with The Entrepreneurs Network (TEN), today announced the launch of a second Women Business Accelerator in Monroe County. Designed exclusively for management-level women in women owned or led businesses that are scaling for growth, the Accelerator is an initiative of TEN, one of the premier entrepreneurial programs in Upstate New York. Statistics show that women are half as likely as men to start a business and remain under-represented among entrepreneurs across the state and nation.

County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo announced a second Recruiting on the Road Senior Job Fair at the Town of Henrietta Senior Center on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This special event features over 100 available positions. The County’s Workforce Development Division has partnered with the Monroe County Office for the Aging and other community partners to provide employment opportunities for our community’s local senior citizen population.
