Dinolfo Encourages Registration for Spring 2019 Land Use Decision-making Programs

County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo announced the registration for the 2019 Land Use Decision-Making Training Program is now open. This program satisfies New York State’s four-hour annual training requirement for members of Planning Boards and Zoning Boards of Appeals. At the end of the program, each attendee will receive a Certificate of Participation indicating which workshops they attended. The three workshops will be held at Monroe Community College in Brighton from 4:30 to 9:00 P.M.

Dinolfo: Blue Water Navy Vietnam Vets Should Contact Monroe County VSA

Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo encouraged all “Blue Water” Navy Vietnam Veterans to schedule a consultation with the Monroe County Veterans Service Agency (VSA) following a recent United States (U.S.) Court of Appeals decision that expands access to the benefits these veterans have earned. Blue Water Veterans are sailors who were stationed offshore during the Vietnam War.

Dinolfo Teams Up with Amerks to Promote Proper Recycling

County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo and the Rochester Americans announced the return of Refresh Recycling Night, a partnership between the Team and the Monroe County Department of Environmental Services (DES) that promotes proper recycling habits. Refresh Recycling Night will be held on Wednesday, March 27th, when the Amerks take on the Lehigh Valley Phantoms at 7:05 at the Blue Cross Arena.

Dinolfo Opens New Diner, Sports Bar at Airport

Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo, the Greater Rochester International Airport and SSP America held an official grand opening and ribbon cutting for the new diner and new sports bar at the recently renovated ROC Airport. These establishments were named previously as part of a unique public naming contest by residents with local ties; they are the Flight Deck Diner and On the ROCs Sports Bar.

ROC Awarded NYSDOT Grant for Garage Parking Guidance System

Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo announced that the Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC) has been awarded a New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) Grant for $499,000 towards installing a Garage Parking Guidance System.

Dinolfo Announces Live Traffic Cameras Are Again Available on County Website

County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo announced that Monroe County recently completed upgrades to its real-time traffic camera system, used by County staff at the Regional Traffic Operations Center (RTOC) to monitor and manage local traffic flow. The new system is a joint partnership between Monroe County and the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT). Dinolfo To Host American Red Cross Blood Drive On Wednesday, February 13

Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo will be sponsoring an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Wednesday, February 13th in the County Office Building Atrium, located at 39 West Main Street in Downtown Rochester. The drive will run from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Dinolfo Accepts "Project of the Year" Award for Greater Rochester International Airport Renovation

On behalf of Monroe County’s entire project management team, County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo accepted the “Project of the Year Award” from the Genesee Valley Branch of the New York State Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA). The award recognizes Monroe County’s management of the recently-completed $79 million renovation project at the Greater Rochester International Airport.
