Dinolfo Announces Return of Free Youth February at Seneca Park Zoo

Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo today announced the return of “Free Youth February” at the Seneca Park Zoo. Each adult who purchases an admissions ticket in February can have up to five youth guests (ages 3-11) join them for their Zoo visit for free.

Dinolfo Announces Monroe County Opioid Action Plan

Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo announced a new Monroe County Opioid Action Plan to combat the nationwide heroin and opioid crisis in our area. Dinolfo: New Affordable Child Care Option Available for Job Training Participants

County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo announced that Monroe County will expand its subsidized child care program with support from new funding through New York State’s Upstate Revitalization Initiative (URI). The URI’s Child Care Subsidy Program will provide child care reimbursements to participants enrolled in a pre-approved job training program.

With the National Weather Service anticipating a significant drop in temperatures and the potential flash-freezing on local roads over the course of the next few hours, Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo is asking drivers to exercise caution during the evening commute. Dinolfo also encouraged residents to use discretion when travelling during the late evening and overnight hours, as high rates of snowfall are likely impact road conditions through Saturday morning.

Kress announced that Monroe County has received the “Project of the Year Award” for the construction of the MCC Downtown Campus from the Genesee Valley Branch of the American Public Works Association (APWA). The award was categorized in “Structures Greater than $75 Million” and reflects the project partners’ commitment to innovation and collaboration.

Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo announced the 10th Annual RochesterWorks! Career Conference and Job Fair will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 10:00am-2:00pm at Monroe Community College. The event is one of the largest events for jobseekers in Monroe County.

Seneca Park Zoo to be Closed January 5 and 6 Due to Frigid Weather

County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo announced that due to safety concerns for the community, Seneca Park Zoo will be closed Friday, January 5 and Saturday, January 6, 2018.
