Dinolfo Teams Up with Amerks to Promote Proper Recycling

County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo and the Rochester Americans announced the return of Refresh Recycling Night, a partnership between the Team and the Monroe County Department of Environmental Services (DES) that promotes proper recycling habits. Refresh Recycling Night will be held on Wednesday, March 27th, when the Amerks take on the Lehigh Valley Phantoms at 7:05 at the Blue Cross Arena.

“Teaming-up with the Amerks is a great way to highlight the importance of recycling, which protects taxpayers and the environment by keeping unnecessary waste out of landfills,” said Dinolfo. “Protecting our community’s natural resources also helps support our ongoing work to attract more jobs and investment to Monroe County. I thank the Amerks for their partnership, and I invite fans to visit the Ecopark and score free tickets to the game, all while helping us keep our community beautiful!”

Fans attending the game will receive a commemorative recycling magnet as a pregame giveaway. Additionally, any fan that brings a recyclable item to the Ecopark on one of the following dates will receive a free ticket voucher to Refresh Recycling Night:

• Wednesday, March 20th 1:00pm to 6:30pm
• Saturday, March 23rd 7:30am to 1:00pm

“The Rochester Americans are excited to renew their partnership with Monroe County Executive Dinolfo and her staff in the Department of Environmental Services on this very worthwhile initiative,” said Rob Minter, VP of Business Operations for the Amerks. “Refresh Recycling Night provides yet another opportunity to not only help raise awareness for improving recycling measures here in our community, but also rewards County residents for doing their part with the chance to attend next Wednesday’s Amerks game.”

The Ecopark is an innovative partnership between Monroe County and Waste Management. Located at 10 Avion Drive in Chili, it is open Wednesdays from 1:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. For a full list of acceptable items, associated fees, and necessary appointments, please visit
