Fishing and Sporting Licenses

The Monroe County Clerk’s Office sells New York State fishing licenses and all other sporting licenses, such as small and big game, bow hunting and turkey permits.

Sporting licenses are also available at all town clerk’s offices and various sporting goods stores or bait and tackle shops.

Proof of identification, New York State residency and age are required when applying for a sporting license. If applying for a hunting or bow license, also be prepared to produce evidence of prior training.

Pittsford Town Hall and Greece Town Hall To Host Passport Services Every Wednesday! Every Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. County Clerk’s Office staff will provide the entire range of passport services at the two locations, including photos and expedited applications, without need for an appointment.
Renew Monroe Monroe County Clerk Cheryl Dinolfo launched "Renew Monroe", encouraging residents to renew their vehicle registrations at local DMV offices. Over $500,000 annually could be kept working here if every vehicle owner in Monroe County participated in the new program. Residents can mail their renewals to the Henrietta DMV Office, use a convenient drop box, or for immediate return of their registration, use an Express Line at any permanent DMV branch.

The Monroe County Clerk's Downtown Office at 39 West Main Street will be open from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on the following Saturdays in 2009 to handle the processing of Passport applications.

Greece DMV at the Mall at Greece Ridge to Open the Last Saturday of Every Month
Monroe County Clerk Cheryl Dinolfo announced that the Greece DMV office will open on the last Saturday of every month, beginning Saturday, May 31, 2008. These "DMV Saturdays" are an expansion of the Clerk's Office "Renew Monroe!" program that encourages residents to handle their DMV and Passport business locally. The Greece DMV office will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. during DMV Saturdays.
