Throughout my tenure here, I have been guided by steadfast ethical values.  Leading with integrity and demonstrating respect for the public trust is paramount in serving the citizens of this community.  Personal responsibility is the key to success and helps this organization arrive at solutions that are in the best interest of everyone.   It is the hallmark of a character-based organization and it is a standard by which I expect every member and employee of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office to uphold.

I am tremendously proud of my deputies and the civilian staff who serve our community and I assure you, while I hold this Office, my commitment to the community will never wane.  1,200 dedicated employees and numerous volunteers will continue to deliver quality public safety services for you and your family.  The Sheriff’s Office will provide you, the citizens of Monroe County, with the highest level of service possible. 

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office was established in 1821 at a time of rapid expansion and settlement in western New York.   Throughout its 188 year history, the men and women of this Office have remained committed to keeping our community a safe place to live, work and raise a family.  In the tradition of my predecessors who held the Office of Sheriff and served before me, I remain committed to these same values and to continuing this mission.
