Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks announced that Drapery Industries, Inc. has been named Monroe County’s “Business of the Month” .

 

“I am proud to announce Drapery Industries, Inc. as the Monroe County Business of the Month. Drapery Industries is a great company and I am proud to have them right here in our community,” said Brooks. “For over forty years, Drapery Industries has served our region, providing quality services and custom products, and their continued commitment to customer service truly sets them apart.”

 

Drapery Industries, Inc. is Western New York’s largest manufacturer of custom window treatments, theater curtains and cubicle/privacy curtains. They serve customers throughout Rochester, Syracuse, Buffalo, Corning, Elmira and Binghamton and have been in business since 1966. Current owners Mark Kosinski and David Geen purchased the company from original owner Herb Mock in 1993.

 

The company prides itself on its commitment to create all of their work in-house. Many other companies wholesale, piece-meal or farm out their work, but Drapery Industries, Inc. is unique in their ability and commitment to produce and deliver all of their own materials. Their product range includes solar mesh window shades, embossed vinyl and fabric vertical blinds, cellular shades, custom draperies and more for both residential and commercial clients.  

 

In 2007, Drapery Industries, Inc. was approved for the county’s GreatRate program, which will provide $6,300 in assistance for the company.
