Rochester - Monroe County Clerk Cheryl Dinolfo has been honored as County Clerk of the Year by the New York State Association of County Clerks. Dinolfo was honored for continued advocacy on behalf of her fellow County Clerks and their constituents throughout New York State. She is recognized as a leader on technology issues facing government and help shaped the legislation authorizing the electronic filing of court records that recently passed in both houses of the New York State Legislature. A beta version of the e-filing program for certain court cases will begin in Monroe County later this year.
"I am honored to be recognized by my peers throughout New York State," said Dinolfo. "As County Clerks, we consistently strive to provide quality customer service at the lowest cost to taxpayers. Initiatives including the electronic filing of court records will make government more efficient and cost-effective. It is my continued goal to be at the forefront of such efforts to save money for Monroe County’s businesses and families.”
County Clerk Dinolfo is currently Co-Chair of NYSACC's Courts Committee overseeing the electronic filing initiative with the State Office of Court Administration. She is also co-chair of the organization's E-Recording Committee tasks with implementing the electronic filing of land records, including deed and mortgages, and Chair of the Finger Lakes Region of NYSACC.
