Statement From County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo
"Acts of violence have become an unfortunate reality known all too well across the Country. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the victims and their families of last night’s deliberate attack on law enforcement in Dallas. May God bless the City of Dallas, their first responders and especially the police officers. As Americans, we must come together to take care of each other in these tragic times. It is our duty to create a better tomorrow for our children and future generations – a tomorrow that does not include senseless acts of violence, but instead a more peaceful world."
Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo and Monroe County Sheriff Patrick O’Flynn will have a moment of silence and prayer at 1 pm, at the Civic Center Plaza at the entrance of the Monroe County Public Safety Building. Weather permitting outdoors near the Monroe County Sheriff’s Memorial, if raining inside the entry of the Monroe Sheriff’s Department Headquarters.
