Dinolfo And O’Flynn Announce Unanimous Bipartisan Support For Contract Agreement With Sheriff's Road Patrol Union

Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo and Sheriff Patrick O’Flynn announced the County Legislature’s unanimous bipartisan approval of the County’s contract agreement with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Police Benevolent Association (PBA). Dinolfo previously announced that the PBA had ratified a 5-year collective bargaining agreement.

“Thank you to the members of the County Legislature for your unanimous bipartisan support of the County’s contract agreement with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Police Benevolent Association,” said Dinolfo. “Our deputies are incredibly well-trained and talented law enforcement professionals. We are pleased to reach an agreement directly meeting the needs of the deputies and continuing the County’s efforts to effectively manage taxpayer dollars.”

The agreement, which covers 2017 - 2021, affects the wages and benefits of 255 Monroe County Sheriff’s Office employees in the Police Bureau.

“I am proud to say that we have reached a contractual agreement after working extensively behind the scenes," said O'Flynn. "I believe this is a fair and equitable settlement that meets the needs of the deputies and is fiscally responsible to the taxpayers of Monroe County."
