Senior Programmer Analyst
Description of Duties
This is an important technical position involving responsibility for the development and modification of new programs for use through the Data Processing Center. Employees in this class analyze business procedures and problems to refine data in order to convert into programmable form for data processing. Data gathering involves investigative research conducted at user departments. The work is performed under the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator. Direct supervision is exercised over project teams composed of Programmer Analysts, Programmers, and other data processing staff.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class at Monroe Community College or the Rochester City School District and must have served continuously for twelve (12) months holding the position of Programmer Analyst or Senior Computer Programmer immediately preceding the date of the written test. Provisional time served immediately before a permanent appointment to the same title(s) will be credited.
A combination of time served in multiple titles sufficient to meet the maximum period of required service is also qualifying.
