Pharmaceutical Take-Back Programs
New York State’s Drug Take Back Program provides residents with FREE mail-back supplies for unwanted medications, inhalers, and auto-injectors. To order mail-back supplies and find convenient locations with secure disposal drop-off locations residents can visit medtakebacknewyork.org or call the following toll-free telephone numbers, (844) 4-TAKE-BACK or (844) 482-5322.
Chain pharmacies (ex: CVS, Walgreens, Wegmans, etc.) are required to provide a take-back program for all pharmaceuticals. This includes local pharmacies, hospitals, and other health agencies. Click the link above to use the drop-off search and find a convenient location.
Pharmaceutical waste collections at ecopark provide a safe and proper way to dispose of unused or unwanted medications. This service is FREE to residents during ecopark's normal hours. Local police stations also accept pharmaceutical waste at the regularly scheduled times and locations listed below.
