What’s the Sustainable Business Roundtable Assessment?
Monroe County is exploring whether a Sustainable Business Roundtable (SBR) could be valuable to our local business community. When it comes to business, there is no one-size-fits-all approach. This brief assessment is your opportunity to weigh in.
Right now, many organizations are working on sustainability on their own. By bringing together businesses, nonprofits, and public sector partners, an SBR could foster collaboration and knowledge sharing around sustainability practices that support workforce well-being, environmental responsibility, and financial performance.
At this time, we’re not launching a program—we’re asking whether one is needed and what it should look like if it moves forward.
Why Your Input Matters
- Helps ensure your industry’s challenges and priorities are heard.
- Share what kinds of tools or support would actually help your business.
- Ensure that local organizations of every size have a voice in identifying the needs of the broader business community.
- Share what actually works—and what doesn’t—for your business.
- Contribute to a process designed to help—not burden—the business community.
Whether you're a small local shop, a nonprofit, a large corporation, or a public-sector organization, your perspective matters.
It’s Quick, Easy, and Optional
- Take a short 10-minute survey
- Join a one-time focus group discussion (Optional but highly recommended)
- There are no commitments. Just getting your input.
This assessment is business-driven, focusing directly on your real business priorities to ensure that any future program is practical, valuable, and relevant.
