Syringes/sharps must be in approved sharps containers or sturdy alternatives (two liter plastic bottles, rugged laundry soap bottles, etc.). All containers should be capped and labeled "SHARPS". They can be dropped off at local hospitals, nursing homes and emergency rooms. Click here for more info and drop off locations. No appointment is necessary to drop off sharps/syringes at ecopark.
Applicators, sensors, and other self-injectable pens of any type (including DEXCOM G7) can also be brought to ecopark for proper disposal.

ecopark and the following local police stations accept sharps/syringes at the regularly scheduled times and locations listed below.
Only sharps and syringes generated by residents of Monroe County are accepted at the ecopark and local police stations. Sharps and syringes generated by medical facilities, veterinary clinics, not for profits and small businesses are not accepted.
