Senior Farmers Market Coupon Distribution

In July of each year, the New York State Office for the Aging and the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets issues a limited number of coupon booklets to the Monroe County Office for the Aging, to be used at area farmer’s markets and mobile market locations. The booklets are for adults age 60 and over who meet income guidelines (income below 185%OPM, or below $29,256/yr).

We will be distributing booklets on a first come, first-served basis, at the following Monroe County locations:

7/23, 10:00 AM: Brockport Food Shelf- 14 State St, Brockport (Foodlink Curbside Market will also be there 10:30 AM-12:30 PM)

7/28, 1:00 PM: Town of Rush Pavilion- 1901 Rush Scottsville Rd, Rush (Foodlink Curbside Market will also be there 1:00 PM-3:00 PM)

7/30, 10:00 AM: Farmer's Market at Greece Ridge Mall

8/4, 10:00 AM: Monroe County Office for Aging/Veterans Office at Bay Towne Plaza- 1900 Empire Blvd Suite 645, Webster

8/5, 1:00 PM: Lifespan Conference Room- 1900 S. Clinton Ave. Rochester

8/6, 10:00 AM: Rochester Public Market (near EBT trailer)

If you wish to elect a proxy to pickup coupons for you, complete the Proxy form and Statement of Eligibility form, and have your proxy bring them to one of the above distribution sites. (Forms are available in additional languages as needed)

2026 Salute to Seniors

Join us for our Annual Salute to Seniors Picnic on August 21, 2026 at Ontario Beach Park

Virtual Senior Center  

          

Monroe County residents age 60 and older can now enjoy FREE access to the Virtual Senior Center (VSC), an online community for connecting with others and sharing common interests.

Members enjoy live classes and engaging entertainment in topic areas such as exercise, arts & culture, technology and training, music and games, history, news, travel and more. Classes are two-way chat enabled, allowing participants to engage with instructors and one another. A recorded video library, games and person-to-person video chat are also available.

Requirements: an up-to-date device, such as a desktop/laptop computer or tablet (iPad, Android tablet), a web camera and microphone, and an internet connection.
