Due to COVID-19, the Monroe County Department of Public Health is suspending its Practical Learning Experiences until further notice. We are not accepting applications for the Fall Semester. We will make a determination regarding the Spring Semester later this year.

Practical Learning Experiences in Public Health

The Monroe County Department of Public Health (MCDPH) offers a limited number of unpaid practical learning experiences, such as internships or clinical rotations, to undergraduate and graduate students, residents and fellows for the purpose of enhancing their education and training in public health and related fields of study.

In order to accept qualified candidates, the MCDPH must have an active Memorandum of Understanding with their educational institution.

Application Deadlines:

  • Spring Semester, 2nd Friday of December
  • Summer Semester, 2nd Friday of April
  • Fall Semester, 2nd Friday of August

Interested candidates can apply by completing the Application for Practical Learning Experience.
