Licensed Practical Nurse-Immunization Program
Description of Duties
This position is responsible for performing tasks within the framework of case finding, health teaching, health counseling, and provision of supportive and restorative care under the direction of a registered professional nurse or licensed physician, dentist or other legally authorized licensed health care provider in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act. When located at Monroe Community Hospital, duties involve providing/assisting with direct and indirect care to convalescent and chronically/seriously ill patients. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse, School Nurse, or other higher-level staff member. General supervision may be exercised over subordinate staff. Does related work as required.
Note: This position is in the Nursing Services Division of the Department of Public Health and is assigned to the Immunization Program at 111 Westfall Rd. The LPN provides direct patient care to the public Immunization Program at Monroe County. The LPN reports directly to a Registered Nurse, Nurse Coordinator or other higher-level nurse. Does related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a valid New York State Registered Professional Nursing (RN) license or valid New York State Licensed Professional Nursing (LPN) license.
