Description of Duties
JOB SUMMARY: This is a technical position in the Department of Public Safety, Public Safety Laboratory responsible for conducting forensic examinations of digital technology including computers and computer media, digital photography, Global Positioning System (GPS) tracks, Automated Teller Machine (ATM) transaction logs, and digital video and audio files for the presence of evidence relating to criminal activity. This position differs from Forensic Digital Evidence Analyst III in that it handles complex examinations and cases, and has increased independence. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general direction of, a Forensic Digital Evidence Analyst I or other higher level staff member. Does related work as required.
