Supervising Examiner

Description of Duties
This is a supervisory level position in the Department of Human Services responsible for oversight and monitoring client management plans for compliance with Social Services and child support rules and regulations or specialized program responsibilities as related to financial services. Duties involve consultation with Caseworkers, program specialists, attorneys and Family Court staff. Work is performed in accordance with Federal, State and local laws, regulations and guidelines. This position differs from the lower level Senior Examiner in its responsibility for higher-level client management and quality control activities as well as coordinating staff training and development. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of a higher level staff member. General supervision is exercised over subordinate staff.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class in the Monroe County Department of Human Services and must have served continuously on a permanent basis for twenty-four (24) months holding the position of Child Support Investigator, Senior Examiner, Senior Examiner-Bilingual, Senior Social Services Investigator, Social Services Investigator or Eligibility Evaluator II immediately preceding the date of the written test.
