Description of Duties
PROPOSED QUALIFICATIONS:
This is a professional nursing position, located at Monroe Community Hospital, responsible for the development and implementation of procedures regarding behavioral health. Duties involve advanced professional nursing techniques and treatments for behaviorally complex patients and residents, for which this position will provide training to other nursing staff. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of the Nursing Administrator or other higher-level staff member with wide latitude allowed for independent judgment and decision making. Does related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a New York State License as a Registered Professional Nurse plus one (1) year paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience as a Registered Nurse, six (6) months of which must have been working with people who have mental or behavioral health issues or intellectual or developmental disabilities.
NOTE: Your degree must have been awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S Secretary of Education. If your degree was awarded by an educational institution outside the United States and its territories, you must provide independent verification of equivalency. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
