- Due to the ongoing federal government shutdown, November SNAP benefits are delayed. SNAP benefits won’t be released until federal funding is authorized. Monroe County does not have the ability to provide SNAP during the shutdown.
 - Any existing SNAP benefits on your card can continue to be used even after November 1.
 - SNAP households should continue to complete all SNAP requirements including recertifications, periodic reports, and reporting changes.
 - Applications for SNAP will continue to be accepted. Households approved for SNAP after November 1st will not receive benefits until the federal shutdown ends.
 - The federal government shutdown does not affect Summer EBT or Public Assistance (cash) benefits.
