Description of Duties

Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements on or before the date of the written exam:

Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma; PLUS,

(A)       Three (3) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent** professional* experience in a human services or law enforcement setting, in a victim witness or assistance agency, or in a community service agency dealing with crime victims such as the Rape Crisis Center or Alternatives for Battered Women; OR,

(B)       Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, or Human Services, plus one (1) year of experience as defined in (A) above; OR,

(C)       Any equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.

*Professional experience does not include clerical or secretarial work.
